(In the Line of Fire, Book 1) It was the eharlequin on-line excerpt, plus an amazon review from a real-life social worker, that caused me to pick up this book. Kira, a dedicated social worker, finds herself unexpectedly caught up in a DEA investigation alongside Dallas Brooks. The story also addresses PTSD. I found myself looking for opportunities to read "just a bit more" of this one. The plot felt less like a mystery/suspense and closer to action/adventure to me. I enjoyed reading it.

Enjoyed
I really enjoyed this one and liked the realism Steward brought in about the dangers of being a social worker.
