Hart Hampton is in a slump and after an accident knocks him out of one race his aunt pulls him out of the next one. To keep the press from writing that he is injured badly he is going to a kid's camp to do charity work.
Kellie Thompson does her best to protect her son Charlie who has cancer. He's really excited about going to a camp that is designed like Nascar, which Charlie loves. He's even more excited when Hart Hampton is a surprise guest. You see the family joke is that Kellie is still single and not dating because she's waiting for Hart Hampton.
Do you think a 15 year-old can keep that a secret from his hero. Of course not so wait for the fireworks between Kellie and Hart to start.
I loved this book even though it made me cry. I was warned though that I would need tissue. You can feel the instant attraction that is between Hart and Kellie, but at the same time you know why she is cautious and he wants to jump into the deep end.
