First, I must say that I love Margaret Daley's books. The first love-inspired novel that I ever read was one of Margaret's. And when I read Heart of the Amazon a few years later, I realized that Christian romances can and are very exciting, nail-biting and wonderful stories. Heart of the Family is a wonderful story about foster children, a doctor with a secret that is nearly eating him alive and Hannah who is connected to the doctor by the same tragic secret. Both main characters are people that you can relate to and empathize with. Hannah is strong, caring and secretly heartbroken by a tragic past. Dr. Jacob Hartman is wonderful with the foster children, caring and haunted by something that he could not change. This is a heartwarming story of learning to forgive - each other and yourself- and how God can heal even the most broken of hearts. It's a wonderful story!

The second Love Inspired novel that I ever read was one of Margaret's too. She is one of the many authors why I continue reading the line. I very much enjoyed Heart of the Family and can't wait for the next book in her series.
