Book #18 This is Stella's first published book and it was a very wonderful read.
Olivia McElroy is sitting in hosital while her husband,James has heart surgery, waiting for their family to arrive. This allows her time to remember back 40 years when she came out of her high school basketball practice to see James at the end of the corridor. He took her home in his Ford Mustang, which was the beginning of what they thought would be a fruitful relationship. It was not to be since his father owned the plant where her father was a menial worker.
Instead of going to college together,James is sent to Ireland to work for his Uncle Seamus. Olivia is left devastated by the fact she is pregnant and her parents send her to live with her aunt and uncle.Despite all of his,Olivia gets a job at a restaurant, which allows her to earn money to keep her son, plus she marries the owner,Alex Crawford who accepts Kyle as his son. This life isn't easy either due to Alex's meddling mother, nor the fact that in time,James does return to her life.
Olivia and James are finally married but he has health problems he hides from her until he almost dies. There is alot more to this story but I feel is you like a good love story that is filled with added life complications, this is one you should read. I am looking forward to future books by this author.

Happy
happy report this one is in the TBR pile. I'm reading an EL book right now, The Soldier and The Rose by Linda Barrett. This is a story of a woman reflecting on the last 60 years of her marriage and the last 65 years of her life. I like the way this line goes deeper than the here and now.

Merri,
I haven't noticed any difference in them, just they are in different areas. I still am a big fan of them and once I get caught up here(HA!HA!) I hope to get them all read. I just like the way they explain the past plus keep the present.
Thanks for stopping by,Merri,have a great weekend,Cheryl
