The Heart of a Renegade by Loreth Anne White
BLURB:
Luke Stone was alone. And he liked it that way.
An ex-bodyguard, sworn never to protect again after his last failure, Luke needed no one. Until he met Jessica Chan.
A journalist with a dark past, Jessica had uncovered deadly
information that made her a target. And only Luke stood between her and
certain death. She was everything he didn’t want: a woman who attracted
trouble…and attracted him. But as assassins closed in and emotions ran
high, Jessica might become everything he needed….

REVIEW: Oh yeah I loved this book! And what has
been really neat about this one of hers is that its set in the the area
she’s living and that she has posted a gallery of photos of pointing
out different bits of inspiration. It gives the whole story a different
kind of perspective when you read it knowing this. One thing I’ve
enjoyed about her books is how she is, at least for me, able to make
the men seem real, touchable, totally strong, yet have their faults. I
love getting in their heads, their thoughts and not feeling like either
an intruder or that I the man is too touchy feely, too much ‘thinking’
like a woman—something I have come across before and can turn one off
just as much as anything else. Men in my opinion have just as strong
feelings and opinions as women but go about the process a bit
differently then women. Way to go on this one Loreth!!
