Heaven Can Wait by Cheryl St John HH #240, 1994

This book is exquisite! When you have 2 virgin lovers who only want to please each other, you'd think they had it made.  But misunderstandings happen especially when the characters are too innocent and too shy to offer explanations for their behavior. Lydia is colony raised to believe touching is taboo. Jakob, an outsider, has waited for a bride who touches his soul.

Their two very different worlds collide when they fall in love and determine to marry despite opposition. Shunned by her family, Lydia must learn new ways. Jakob's love is there for her, but can she trust in him and his love?

This book is a tear jerker.

This book might be from 1994, but it proved that St John deserves to be published. Many books have followed!

Heat level:  Yummy!   I blushed when they made love. (A quote from the book is: "How positively wanton!") How apt!

My rating: Great!

Thank you

Katherine - Thanks for the fireworks. They were a nice surprise.

I'm glad you like the review. I probably take more time that I should writing them up - I mean, I could be reading! Laughing But I figure if I'm going to do it, I might as well try to benefit the reader and the author. So thanks.

a great boost to my week!

Oh, my goodness!  I wrote this book before I wrote RAIN SHADOW, but RS was purchased first and this one next.  It was one of the first books I wrote, and my marvleous editor at that time actually had to ask me to cut 100 pages from the manuscript!

The story is still very near and dear to my heart, so it's a special blessing to read your review and to know how much you enjoyed it.

Rain Shadow is Jakob's brother Anton's story.

Thank you, Anita!
