Sergeant Burke Gifford came to the mountains of Peru to this American Black Ops operation to study with/under Sergeant Angel Paredes of the Peruvian Army. Angel Paredes was known for healing ways. What Burke didn't realize was that he would be healed literally and figuratively by this Angel of Death. And Angel would also have her heart healed.
I liked this book. I could identify with the characters and the setting intrigued me as my neighbors are from Peru. Plus the whole Queara/Inca shaman thing was fascinating. The setting in a faraway place was great. I give the book an A.
