Blurb:
His secretary’s secret…
Claudia Bradford has a secret: she’s head-over heels in love with the most unsuitable man possible--her boss, gorgeous sheikh Samir Al-Hamri. And he’s taking her on a business trip to his desert home.
Her boss’s desert proposal?
Samir knows his sensible assistant is captivated by the exotic sights of Tazzatine. In his desert oasis, he sees Claudia in a new light. Spirited and fun, she makes him feel alive. But Samir’s always vowed to only marry for duty…
My thoughts:
Cute read. I had some problems with the h doing a lot of “poor me” thinking throughout the book. I understood she was in love with someone she felt was above her and she had been through a bad marriage but I like my heroines to have a little more faith in themselves. The H in the beginning was slightly overbearing with her as far as getting her to do things she didn’t want to do and also going as far as trying to tell her what to wear and such. But after those parts of the story kind of settled down I found myself really enjoying the trip to the desert and experiencing things through the heroine’s eyes. The descriptions were very well done I almost felt like I was in the desert myself. I especially loved the camel races that sounds fun. That is something I am really enjoying about this line is the visits to the different exotic places. But overall this was a cute read I was able to finish this in a day and a half.
April Mini-Challenge: Does he fit the story? Yes. Does he suit the heroine? At first I thought no but as the story progressed and we got to know them then I felt like he did. Would he suit you if the adventure was yours? No, I don't like bossy men. Does the guy on the cover represent your mental picture of the hero the author has penned and if you were casting a movie of this book, who would play the hero? Yes the guy on the cover represented my mental pic. And as far as a real life actor? If anyone has ever watched Cane the guy who plays Frank, Nestor Carbonell is who comes to my mind.
What you see is what you get out of me you dont like it I dont like you.
