A Hero's Redemption

So, another SRS I really enjoyed.  I was actually very excited when I saw that Suzanne McMinn was writing a new mini-series for SRS.  It's called Haven, and it revolves around a small town that is suddenly experiencing some paranormal activity.  This is the second Haven book, and I've got to say, it's so great to see SRS delving into the paranormal...

Our hero, Dane Maguire, is transported back in time to the week in which the heroine, Calla Jones, was killed.  In the future, Dane is charged and convicted of the crime (he's totally innocent, of course) and now he has only two days to find out exactly who killed Calla, or even better, save her life so she doesn't experience the same fate.

I absolutely loved this book!  I enjoy time travel stories, but only when it's done in a way that makes me "buy" the travelling going on. I love the concept of this little paranormal town, and McMinn does a really good job at having the hero time travel without making it seem silly.  You'll love the h/H in this story too--their chemistry is awesome, and I was totally rooting for them to get together and change each other's fates...

SRS

I'm only just now starting to read books in this line, hoping some day maybe I'll write a few for them.  I'm really enjoying them.  This sounds like an author I need to look out for.

RE: A HERO'S REDEMPTION by Suzanne McKinn

Now this sounds really EXCELLENT to me!  I'd put it in MY TBR any day. Wink

srs authors

Oh, I love Catherine Mann's stories.  And Loreth Anne White's mercenary heroes are pretty awesome too.  Lori, definitely pick up their stuff when you get the chance.

And Hockey Jock, every time I see your user name it reminds me of my Blaze.  The hero is a hockey player and I keep having to ask all my guy friends hockey questions.  My favourite part of researching the book was when I had to call the hockey editor at the Toronto Star and asked him if the players slapped each other's butts with towels in the locker room LOL!
