HIDE & SEEK by Alyssa Brooks

Good God this was a trainwreck. This book was just beyond silly. It's listed as
an erotic romance but I found it more a comedy and I'm pretty sure the author
wasn't going for that when she wrote the book. Here's a list of just some of the
stuff that went on in the book...

1. The heroine spends almost the first 100 pages having the hero pleasure
her at different times. It was all about her pleasure, her wants, her desires.
He was not allowed anything in return and he wasn't "allowed" to take care of
the problem on his own.

2. She then decides that it's time to play a game of Hide & Seek. She
tells him she's going to hide and once he finds her, he can do whatever he wants
to her. Keep in mind, there's a blizzard going on outside the cabin. He thinks
it'll be a piece of cake to find her since he assumes she's going to hide in the
cabin. Wrong. She hides in a cave for 3 hours so the hero can find her...once he
finds her, she takes off running and he catches her by a tree and they then get
busy and do the nasty against said tree. In a blizzard. There's even mention of
him having icicles hanging from his nose when he finds her. Who knew that's the
new sexy? lol

3. Next day she tells him he has to chop some wood and once he's done with
that to come find her since she'll be "hiding" again.

4. Third time she hides, she tells the hero he has to go fishing and
catch their dinner then he can come find her. Hero goes ice-fishing,
something he's never done, then goes searching for her....finding her
unconscious (she ends up being sick) in the same cave she hid in the first time
she decided to play this game.

5. A day after that she hides in the cabin, in the pantry, since
she's just gotten over being sick and going outside in that weather would
just make her sick again but she's in the mood for some sex. *rolling
eyes*

6. She keeps calling the hero a man-whore or man-slut yet she keeps having
sex with him anyway.

I could go on but I think I'll stop right here...I would have rated this an
F but to be honest, I found the silliness of this amusing and gave it a D
instead since I did complete reading it.

I had to read your blog...

on this one because I knew from the yahoo group just how silly you found this one!  I am almost positive it's in my stack, too.  I may bump it up just for kicks!

Deb....

You'll have to let me what you thought of it. I've been searching the sites to see what the reviews on this were and it seems everyone raved about it...makes me wonder if we read the same book! ROFL
