Moving to Chestnut Grove was the best thing to happen to Mom and me. It's so neat that a few months ago Mom didn't know she had a half brother—you! And I can tell she likes Jonah Fraser, this really cool carpenter. I always tell Mom she's got to believe in the power of prayer. But now I have my own special prayer—that mom and Jonah get together to make this the best Christmas ever!

I've really been enjoying the Tiny Blessings miniseries. The worst part of this book was finishing and knowing it's over! Fortunately, I think they left a very important character's story somewhat unresolved, so I'm hoping this means we'll see more of this series. For this book in particular, though, I thought there was some great stuff in watching these characters overcome some major issues. I'm a growth girl, so I like to see some major growing, which these characters did beautifully, and I thought, very believably.

Definitely read this one. If you can catch the others in the series, you should do so first, but I think this would stand alone if you couldn't find them. It's just fun catching up with all the other characters from previous books.
