Christie has a 9-month-old son. She and Cal Crawford had a weekend fling right before he shipped out. But he is now back in Brody’s Crossing and is confused and upset by all the changes. Some of the changes have occurred on the family ranch and then there is the big surprise awaiting him in the arms of Christie.
Chancellor has the ability to write a compelling story—even when using a theme that bothers me. I’m not a fan of the secret pregnancy/baby plot device, but she makes it work well enough. I enjoyed her prior book, Temporarily Texan and I look forward to her next book in the series.
