House of Cards by C.E. Murphy

Well, I didn't LOVE this one the same way that I did the first book in this series.To be honest, I felt like I was hanging in more out of pruriant curiosity about the inter-species pay off to the love story between Grit and Alban and less because I really cared about them as people. I found the legal wangling between the old Races confusing and irritating after a while, and wanted more drama and conflict in the relationship between the characters . I'm still looking forward to the conclusion of the trilogy and there were some incredible action scenes in the book, but....

I just didn't LOVE IT.
