I actually walked into Barnes and Noble and didnt buy any thing.
The two books I wanted (Charlaine Harris's new Sookie book & Mary Janice Davidsons new Betsy book), only came in hard back. I just dont want to pay $25 for a hard back right now. Even with my 10% off, it would just cost to much.
Its ok, I have plenty of books to keep me busy till the paperbacks come out.
Meanwhile I am about half way through JR Ward's "Lover Enshrined". what can I saw but wow! This story is taking a few unexpected twists. I am not sure I like all of the twists, but the book is defenately a page turner. But I will stop now and save my review for when I actually finish the book.
***oh, my picture today, is of my friend Adrian Paul as Sir Francis Drake. Movie coming soon ( or at some point) to the SciFi Channel (I think).

Got Books?

Wow. That's restraint.
Wow. That's restraint. You didn't even get tempted by the cheaper paperback books? I would have.... *grin*
Lover Enshrined was great imo. Really liked it. Read a few critical reviews before, but I personally loved it. Tons of payout in the John, Blay, Qhuinn, Lash, Tohr, etc plots. With stuff about Rehvenge and a new guy Lassiter. And the Cormia & Phury relationship developed nicely imo. Drug stuff was handled well, JRW wrote drug addiction realistically and gave a satisfying conclusion I think.
oh, I was tempted....
But those are the only books I really wanted and they were just gonna cost to much. Even with my 10% discount.
Maybe I will hit Target tomorrow...I got a couple hard backs a while back that came 25% off, and one came with a $5 Tar-jay gift card.
I just didnt see anything else that caught my eye. But I am sure i will get over it in a few days and get a couple cheaper paper backs.
But like I said, I really dont "need" any more books.

Got Books?
It's better I don't have a Barnes & Noble.
All we have is Wal-Mart and Hastings.
Terri, I don't buy hardcovers either- except the Harry Potter books. I could never wait for the paperback.

Most of us don't NEED
Most of us don't NEED anymore books. But somehow that doesn't stop us. Rationalizations: At least it's not a $700.00 pair of shoes, it's better than eating something fattening, reading makes you smarter. All true but - WOW- great self restraint!

Wow. 700 dollar shoes...
Wow. 700 dollar shoes... think how many books you could buy with that??? mmmm.
I'm actually a tad teeved I recently got movie tickets for my bday. I'm thinking that I could buy at least four or five books with that gift certificate instead.
