The world holds great danger for Alec Reynard and his kind. As the dark hollows of his soul threaten to overwhelm him, he undergoes secret medial treatments that allow him to bear daylight. Living a double life as a bodyguard, he must also battle the pwerful chemistry that explodes between him and Domini Lancer, a mere mortal-and, unbelievably, his soul mate.
Domini knows nothing of Alec's true nature. But when danger threatens, he kidnaps her to his clan's stronghold to protect her...and there, he can no longer hide who-or what-he is. As the forces sligned against Domini draw near, Alec wonders whether she'll accept the darkness within him-or whether she's actually a vampire slayer who's cleverly infiltrated his clan.
I thought this was an awesome book. Susan Sizemore is a new to me author. I have lots of her books in the ever growing TBR pile but hadn't read any until this book. I was glad I decided to pick this one up. It was a great read. She will definitely be on my list of authors to collect. The connection between Alec and Domini was strong even before they met. Both had telepathic abilities and were able to somehow communicate with each other unawares. This is how they first met. A great story and one I think is worth the read.

Me too!
I don't remember the title, but the first book by Susan Sizemore that I read, during last year's challenge, got me right hooked on her books.
And then someone, I can't remember who though, mentioned that SS wrote a number of books before these ~ Law of Blood or something?
(I kinda thought that it was you that recommended them to me Sharon... not sure why. *shrug*)
I've got the first two ~ or maybe three now, but I've yet to read them... they're just sitting there on my very full TBR shelves, waiting the opportunity....

Don't think it was me that
Don't think it was me that told you that. This is the first of hers that I've read. I have the other two in this series still to read and then the Primal Heat series as well. Looking forward to reading all of them as I enjoyed her writing style.
Can you repost?
Hi Sharon,
In order to add this title to the Book Challenge total, you actually have to repost this as a BOOK REVIEW. You've entered a normal blog post here. You'll see that you have both options in your menu on the right hand nav. Pick Blog Entry to update us on what you're up to and Book Review to post to the 100,000 book challenge

Yeah I figured that part out
Yeah I figured that part out after I had logged both of these books. Have them both posted in both places but will correct my attempts with the next book I blog. Thanks
LOL...
... Ah well, I'll have to do some checking around and see just who it was... funny how ideas get stuck in my mind!
And I have absolutely LOVED all her Prime / Family stories!

It might be me
It might be me I gave you the list of the previous books. I've read her for years. The Laws of the Blood books are by Tanya Huff.
