I'm just wondering who picks out the models for the covers and if they have to read the book first. I'm reading a book right now and the hero and heroine are look nothing like the people on the cover. I just don't get it. It's not like there's a shortage of blond haired blue eyed models out there. I don't know I think if I was a writer for one of these books and the cover they sent me looked nothing like my characters it would bother me.
Ok I'm done ranting...Thanks

LOL
This was gone into at great length last year. We are firmly convinced that the artists have NEVER read the books and the authors are not allowed to see them prior to printing. I just read the Garrisons series. Emelio Jeffries was Cuban... not on the cover. Adam had dark hair curling around his neck... not on that cover. Brandon was a successful lawyer dressed in Armani - the cover had him in yellow checks. They have wrong hair color and length, wrong eye color, and for the most part do not fit the desciptions in the books. Your peeve is duly noted and added to the list.

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!
Boy, I am with you
I really hate reading a book with the cover meaning absolutely NOTHING to the story. I just finished a book about a auburn haired heroine very blond on the cover
. I thought it was just me, but am glad others feel the same
Bonsal
Mine had blonde hair and
Mine had blonde hair and blue eyes and the guy on the cover had dark hair and eyes.
The best one was I was reading a book about a guy from Africa and the author kept talking about his dark skin and such...the guy on the cover was white, maybe spanish, now thats going to far with it.
