AN ICE COLD GRAVE [Other 1]

Third in the Harper Connolly mystery series.  This was way sexier than I like, but the mystery itself was good.  Heartrending, but good.  As usual, she makes you want to find out what happened and who did it.  Then, just when you think you have it all solved, she throws in a twist that you hadn’t previous suspected (unless you’re very, very good).

(PS, I miss the old smilies.  I liked them better, especially the :worried: face, which was better for suspense.  I really like this "cool" smilie, though.)

hi Hope! This is the first

hi Hope! This is the first time I've seen you pop up on the "recent posts" page or I'd have dropped by sooner. Good to see you back again this year!

Oh, now see...

I loved the sexiness.. it's been building for the two books. I really like  this character, and this book was a little more intense than most in terms of the crime, but the sex doesn't bother me (of course, I write for Blaze, so there you go), but I did find the ending a little flat, really. I wonder what she's going to do now?

Hi Kelley & Sam!

It's good to see you both!  Thanks for commenting!  This was actually my second post, but I'm finding it hard to keep up with all the reviews.  In a way, it's good, though, because it gives us a chance to see everyone's without being bogged down in checking individual folders.  I'm guessing it won't automatically archive the way last year's did, too.

Yes, Sam, I agree, what on earth are they going to do now?  Of course, I could see from the first that she really loved him, and he loved her, but where will the author take them next?  I think possibly, since it isn't strictly romance, but more of a paranormal mystery series, that could have something to do with the romantic parts not being up to your standard!

I like this series...

I wonder what they will do now...they have been stuck in this brother/sister mode....not knowing how the other felt...and there is this whole Ick Factor....though there is no blood between them, they are brother and sister.

Got Books?

Hmmm

Well, they were raised together after they were in their early teens, I think, or tweens.  I don't think I'd have fallen for a stepbrother, but, since there's no real consanguinity....  Still, everyone's going to be pretty shocked in the next book, I imagine.

I'm just curious...

...to see what she comes up with next.  She has an incredible imagination!

Have you tried...

Have you tried the Southern Vampire series? Sookie Stackhouse is great.

I think there is going to be a series soon based on these books.

Got Books?

A few...

I haven't found them all, but I've read some of them.  I started because I was doing some vampire research.  I like Sookie.  Just wish it didn't have quite so much sex... Undecided  (But I'm sure I'm in the minority on that.)  HBO is coming out with the series some time soon, and you can probably find out more on Charlaine's website.
