So I'm finally in. It only took...days.
I was online when they took the boards offline for the update.
The next day, I signed on but was overwhelmed by all the changes. Where to look first? No time to figure it out.
The following day--or was it the same day that I was overwhelmed--I signed on again and tried to update my profile but nothing happened. Tried to do all the changes at once. Nothing. I added buddies though, although I'm not crazy about the idea at all. Gave me the willies. Feels very cliquish.
Today, however, I'm in. I figured out how to reply to blog posts, and obviously to create a blog post. I updated my profile, one step at a time, getting rid of that hideous "No Photo" box, although my color change keeps reverting back to the default color. I'm going to make my way over to the boards. I hope I can still tell how many messages there are since my last read, so I can decide whether to try to catch up or simply just in midstream.
Overall, it looks okay. I hope this redesign will encourage more discussion and sharing, more networking, and make it easier to hop straight to my favorite places. Seems like it will.
Time for more exploration.
