This latest in the Mercy Thompson series is gut wrentching. Well written, Patricia Briggs presents the good, the bad and the ugly of the otherworld. Mercy's loyalty to her friends may possibly end her in trouble she cannot get herself out of.Thank goodness there is Adam Hauptman and his pack to get Mercy's back. This book skirts very delicate issues in a loving and understanding manner seldom exhibited in writing. Great action moves this story forward at a fast pace. No fair looking at the last page in this one.....

Oh I did love this one too!
And I'm constantly amazed at how real everything is. Sometimes very gritty, but always something that I can relate to.
And she did an outstanding job dealing with a very difficult subject.
