Dear Readers and Friends,
This month a group of us Harlequin Mills and Boon Medical Romance authors decided to donate a basket to the Annual Brenda Novak Diabetes Auction. Twelve of us have autographed books and we’ve thrown in lots of other goodies to make it worth your while. I hope when May comes rolling around you’ll check out all of the wonderful items Brenda has amassed for this year’s auction and make a bid on something. Rest assured it will go for a great cause: Diabetes research.
I started work on my next book, but have recently received a few more revision requests on my currently completed novel. So I’ll be rolling up my sleeves again and tackling the last few wrinkles in this plot. Hopefully, I’ll get it right and will have some better news to report next month! I’m trying to teach myself the wisdom of patience and the power of positive thinking by moving right along with my writing career. The book I’ve started is about a National Guard medic who looks amazingly like Wentworth Miller, and an ER nurse who has undergone some major changes, both physical and emotional, since they last saw each other in high school. I’ve already finished chapter one and I’m excited about this story, but it will get put on hold while I fix the remaining problems with The Mending Hearts Club.
I’ve been happily surprised by the feedback I’ve been receiving for SINGLE DAD, NURSE BRIDE, and hope to continue to hear from my readers. This story struck a cord with a few people who’ve been involved with the foster care system. I’ll tell you a little secret about the original version of this book. The hero’s brother died from leukemia. Yep. But having forgotten the unspoken commandment of Medical Romance, Thou shalt keep thy story upbeat, I listened to my editor and resurrected that character. And I’m very happy with the results. So be prepared if you are planning to read this book; I tackle some heavy topics, but as always I keep my promise as a romance author, I guarantee you’ll enjoy the ending!
Have a great month!

Lynne
Best Wishes,
