The heroine has been in love with her boss for four years. She goes out of the country for three months to visit her sister's family, makes some decisions about her own life, and starts improving her life (starting with a makeover and ending with quitting her job so she can move on from unrequited love). The hero won't let her quit though, and offers to be as accommodating as he can, to make sure she can keep her job and achieve her goals. Attraction starts to flare between them, as the hero sees the heroine in a new light now that she's speaking up to him and dressing sexier (ugh, I don't like when superficial makeovers suddenly make the hero want the heroine). If she gives in to the passion between them, she knows she'll end up tossed aside like all his other women in the past. Then she'll have to leave her job anyway.
This was an enjoyable read, I liked the dialogue between the hero/heroine, it was very snappy and taut with sexual awareness. The storyline of this book has been done before, but it was still a nice light read. The declaration of love at the end was too sudden, with the hero all of a sudden recognizing his feelings as love and things getting wrapped up in less than two pages.
Rating: 3/5 stars, a nice light read.
