THE ITALIAN COUNT'S BABY by Amy Andrews (HMR #341)

coverIt's official.  Amy Andrews has gotten me hooked on her books!

SYNOPSIS:  Katya Petrov is certain she cannot be a good mother to her unborn child.  A one night stand with Count Benedetto while they both worked for MedSurge has left her pregnant.  Katya has traveled to Italy to tell Ben he will be a father... and to give him the child to raise once born.  Will these two recognize the love that is between them?  Or will their hurtful pasts get in the way?

MY THOUGHTS:  Wow, what a scorcher!  Amy Andrews writes some very hot scenes.  The passion that flares up between Katya and Ben is both steamy and believable.  In every scene between them, the love that is there shines through.  THE ITALIAN COUNT'S BABY is one of those feel good stories that still manages to be thought provoking at the same time.

Both Ben and Katya have been hurt in the past.  Despite the obvious differences in their living styles, these two really are very similar at heart.  Katya will have to learn to look beyond Ben's wealthy playboy appearance as she learns his secrets... and he learns hers.  Katya's mother is one of the most vile characters I have ever read and after reading her brief encounter with Katya, it is easy to see why Katya has the shell around her heart.

THE ITALIAN COUNT'S BABY is easily recommended!  If you haven't tried one of the Harlequin Medical Romances, let me recommend this author as  her stories have it all!

I read and blogged

All the medical info in this book was great and very informative. I wrote something about wanting to slap her mother, I was so into the book. I read and blogged this one at the beginning of April. Every book I've read by this author has been great. I have a couple more of hers that I'll be reading soon. I love these medical romances and it almost hurts when I read something negative about this line. I've enjoyed everything I've read in this line so far.

P.S. These books should be on the shelf so more people could enjoy them!

I knew...

I'd seen something that prompted me to buy this book on a blog here... and now I remember it was yours, Deb! That line you had about wanting to slap her mother stayed in my head and as soon as I reached that scene, I was thinking that was why someone had written that.  And yes, I've really gotten hooked on this line too, as you can tell from the number of them I've been reading!  You are SO right that this line should be on the shelves!!

Yep, I've become a recent

Yep, I've become a recent convert to this line for two reasons. 1) I received one with one of my other subscriptions--a trial thing and 2) there has been such high praise in most of the reviews of this imprint. So, I subscribed--the bummer? 6 are published each month, but only 4 come in the reader's service subscription.Cry Guess, that means I just have to buy more books. Wink

I loved the

I loved the insights into cosmetic surgery and the fact it's not all about making a person better looking. Fixing a child's smile or taking off an unsightly lump on a forehead was just so uplifting.

Pain in the Butt

Isn't it a shame that only 4 meds can be bought each month???

It's a frustration all the med authors share with the readers.

Pleased you liked Katya and Ben's story too Deb.
