It's Christmas in July.

I read three more Christmas books this month.  I don't know what it is about the heat of summer that makes me want to read books that take place in the winter.

And it was a bit like Christmas yesterday.  I got to go out to eat with a group of wonderful ladies that I have met online in a book forum and we all live within an hour of each other and decided to get together for a bit of lunch and book shopping.  At the bookstore I bought Jill Shalvis Sexy series, Fantasy Lover by Kenyon and The Secret (that's the title right?) by Julie Garwood.

I think I may have admitted to comitting an unknown sin.  I have never read anything by Garwood and the ladies were in shock.  I own many of her books but they are still sitting in my TBR pile.  I have promised them that I would read one before August ends.

I am up to having bought twelve books this month (my eHarlequin order arrived earlier this week, another great Christmas in July box of goodies) so I think I am going to have to show special restraint for the rest of the month.  And even as I say this and REALLY mean it I know I will cave.  I am weak.  LOL  But I am happy!

Christmas

Sounds like a grand day. hmm I always save my Christmas stories for December and each year I think I may not have enough and order more. This year I may have to start in November but then 18 won't be enoughLaughing

So far this month I was at 42(If I didn't count the 13 I ordered June 27) and promised myself I wouldn't buy more this month. Well that lasted all of two days before I walked into Goodwill and then walked out 13 books heavier

I like to read

summer books in winter and winter books in the summer.  I don't know why, but I almost always do.

I just reviewed a Christmas book .

I take whatever is different at the the library but I have been bad as I have ordered twice in July already. Thank goodness Harlequin limits the number of books I can buy as I may never see the middle of myTBR pile. A good story is a good story I aways think.

Kaelee - how come Harlequin limits the number of books

you buy? They don't do that for me!

My bank manager might be happier if they did!

I always use the bill me later option so I can't go over $50.00. This way I try to limit my spending. It doesn't really work though. Sadly it's just an illusion on my part. Finding this website has been bad for my pocketbook but good for my soul. I haven't had anyone to discuss harlequin romance with since my mom died 10 years ago. I knew there were other readers out there and now I have found them.

limit my spending

I try to not go over $30 and usually order twice a month (once near beginning and once near end when I find out what the members deal is) for some reason two bills of $30 don't seem as  bad as 1 bill of $60Wink
