Jealousy and a Jewelled Proposition by Yvonne Lindsay... QC #168

Jealousy and a Jellewed Proposition by Yvonne Lindsay, Desire, #1873, June 2008 (series: book 6- Diamonds Down Under)

book coverWhen Matt Hammond's wife, Marise, took a trip to Australia, Matt hired Rachel Kincaid as his son's, Blake, nanny. But Marise was killed in a plane crash 5 months ago, and Rachel has been Blake's nanny that whole time. Rachel has other commitment and had told Matt this would be temporary and she thought it was time to move on. With Matt travelling so much, working so hard trying to destroy Blackstone's, running his business and Rachel being a constant in Blake's life, he has started to call her mommy. Matt can't have Rachel leaving now. He needs her. But he needs to get past his guilt about sleeping with her the night of her high school graduation. To Rachel it was an incredible night, one she wouldn't mind repeating. But Matt has been distancing himself from her ever since. Could Rachel hold the key to Matt's goal?

I really liked how Yvonne pulled all things together and revealed all the things we've been waiting for. I liked this story. Rachel told Matt exactly how it is. She didn't back down. She made Matt see things that he needed to change. At times it may have taken awhile for her words to sink in and at these times I wanted to slap him upside the head. I thought his light bulb moment was a little rushed. But I guess this is understandable when the author is building a story for the first 12 chapters and then has one chapter to give the H and h a HEA. I appreciate the long hours all the authors put into this series.

Hey Christa!

Great review!!

I was tempted to copy your review when I was typing up mine, as you said it exactly how I felt after I read J&JSmile

I really hope these ladies get the opportunity to work together on a series again.

Take Care,

Tammy
