Hayley is a 38 year old single mother of a 14 year old daughter. Mom is a worrier, daughter is exceptionally bright. Hayley is always waiting for the other shoe to drop. The bakery has been in the Goldstein family for years Hayles owns 60% and her ex-husband the other 40. To increase business at the bakery Hayley started decorating unique cakes. One day a visitor comes in with a request that she do a cake for rocker, Tommy Stiles, that looks like a set of drums. The money she could make and the exposure would be fantastic but Hayley is sure that Finn, the attorney, is not telling her everything. Lizzie, her daughter, negotiates a contract that is all in the bakery's favor now all Hayley has to do is pull it off. Hayley has no idea just how much her life will change.
Finn negotiates all of Tommy's legal business, prenups, divorces, etc. Finn's father and Tommy were best of friends that started playing music when they were teenagers. After the death of Finn's parents Tommy took him in as part of the family. Once Finn had his law degree he went to work for Tommy and has always looked out for his best interests. After meeting Hayley, Finn becomes concerned about her and what will happen to her, her life, her daughter when the surprise information they have becomes known.
Barbara Bretton may just have a new fan! If all her books are this good I want to read them all!! 
There was laughter, tears, joy the whole gamut of emotions as I read this book. Well done!

This was very good in my opinion. It was hard to put the book down for me. It is out now you shouldn't have to hard a time finding a copy. If you do get to read it let me know how you like it.

I didn't look at the thermometer today. I spent until 2 working on my parents garden, getting it all ready for planting. It wasn't shorts weather. I too have the lily white legs and I did the dreaded shaving thing this w/e

The publisher is Jove. You should be able to find it easily as it came out in February 2008. Check out her website: www.barbarabretton.com There is a good video for this book. I know you are in Canada so I don't know what major bookstores you have or if you order online. Good luck finding a copy.
Have a great weekend. Tomorrow I am going to a book sale that is a fund raiser for the Sonoma County Library System. My daughter & oldest grandson are also going. It will be fun to see what kind of bargains we find. The prices are great, they do this twice a year & a few weeks ago I donated a bag of books & couple of CD's. I found out they also take records & DVD's. I'll let you know what we find!
