Just Like Old Times

Just Like Old Times is an older book (1992), but Jennifer Greene has really made a name for herself since, so when I saw this book on the library swap shelf, I thought it might be interesting to read one of her earlier works.

I gotta say: the woman had it going on!  I was very impressed by this book.  Tons of very fresh, vivid images.  The story is about a divorced couple who get back together.  I was immediately curious when I saw the topic, because I knew it was one that would have to be handled very delicately.  Greene pulled it off.  She had excellent balance between the characters, and very good pacing as well.  I had to deal with several interruptions while reading, and that can sometimes stall me out on a book.  But the story itself, as well as the great writing, drew me back in.

No wonder Jennifer Greene has gone places!  She's a great writer!
