After an earthquake causes damage to the San Quentin prison, several convicts make their escapes, including Theodore Glenn--a serial killer. Robin McKenna lost several friends to Glenn and was in fear of her own life. Slowly, after he was imprisoned, she began to gain her life back. The earthquake and Glenn's escape leave her shaken (hee hee) to the core. As the very real threat of Glenn returning to finish her off mounts, Detective Will Hooper re-enters her life. Their passionate affair was doused when Will was unable to believe that Robin (at the time, a stripper) hadn't slept with Glenn like all her friends. Now they have to put their trust in eachother to stay alive.
I didn't think I'd like this book because Robin had been a stripper, but it ended up being pretty good. It's not my favorite book by Allison Brennan because I didn't really feel connected to Robin and Will, but I think the new trilogy has potential and I can't wait for the next one!

I enjoyed this book
I enjoyed this book overall, too. I am looking forward to the next one.
Yep
This wasn't my favorite of hers, but overall it was good and it sets up the series nicely, I thought. You just know one of the books has to be about the "bad guy" who keeps capturing all the other convicts.
