But when she looks again, he is gone. Her uneasy feeling continues and she decides she's going home. Gabrielle's life is changed forever when she hears sounds from the alley and goes to investigate. What she sees is from out of a horror movie. Is it really happening? Lucan Thorne is ready to fight and take out some Rogue but things get complicated when Gabrielle walks into the alley. He noticed her and her sweet smell in the club. There is something about her that attracts him but he has got to get her out of danger. She is not safe now that the Rogues know she has seen them in action. Lucan has no choice but to take her back to his compound. She needs the protection of the Breed Warriors especially when he finds out she has the mark of a Breedmate. I really enjoyed this book. It is the first in the Midnight Breed series. We get intoduced to all the Breed Warriors and a few Breedmates. I'm looking forward to reading book two soon.
