Lady Beware

This book has been on my TBR pile for awhile but it's still available in stores.  "The Cave family has been marked by scandal and murder.  But after earning a reputation for bravery and loyalty in the army, Horatio Cave, the new Viscount Darien, has come home to charm London society and restore the family name.  He means to start with lovely Lady Thea Debenham."  Lady Thea however is unsure of the "Vile Viscount" and only goes along with his plan in order to save her brother Dare from rumors about his army service.  Unfortunately, it's instant attraction for the two of them which they fight every step of the way.  Cave doesn't want her reputation ruined by his name and Thea is afraid that her family won't approve.  The power of love overcomes these obstacles and other ones along the way, including more murder, to bring these two people together.

Jo Beverley is one of my favorite authors even though she's from another publishing house.  In reading the author's notes, I discovered that Horatio has been mentioned in other books of the "Rogue" series and that Horatio's and Thea's story took on a life of its own.  I enjoyed this book and give it a B+.
