Last Wolf Standing by Rhyannon Byrd (Nocturne) 03/08

This is the first book in the Blood Runners series and I loved it. The Blood Runners are half-breeds, therefore, they are not welcome as members of the Pack until they can prove themselves. The Blood Runners job is to track rogue werewolf and in this way they will earn a position in the Pack. Mason Dillinger and his friend Jeremy have been hunting a rogue werewolf but even Runners get hungry. They stop into a little diner and everything changes for Mason when he scents Torrance Watson. I love when he just has to get her attention before she leaves the diner. His act is very highschool and really kind of cute. Torrance isn't to sure about the mixed feelings she is having about this yummy and too sexy stranger and she runs for her life. But Mason tracks her down and soon he is also having to protect her from the rogue werewolf. There is a pack of rogue werewolfs who have somehow increased their abilities to shift in the daylight. This is a dangerous developement and the Runners have to stop them. It is a great beginning to a new series.
