Copied Blurb:
That a woman who was his perfect match even existed. And that he'd find her in a bustling café. Yet just the scent of sweet, mortal Torrance Watson ignited a driving, explosive need to claim her that he knew his pack would never sanction. Worse, the rogue werewolf he'd been hunting had sensed that attraction and made Torry his prey. Forced to safeguard her from this ruthless assassin, who already posed a threat to his pack, Mason now faced the ultimate challenge. Did he have the courage to cross the line by sealing the blood bond that would make Torry his alone--a disloyalty few of his kind ever survived--or would he live an eternity without love?
My Review:
This is the first book in the Bloodrunners series by Rhyannon Byrd.
Some positive points of the book: I really liked how descriptive Byrd portrayed everything. She used many adjectives, and I felt as if I were actually there. The first half of this book was nearly perfect. I breezed through it, loving the banter between Torrance and Mason. Both of them had their own set of fears to work through, and they were entirely believeable. And I absolutely loved the last two chapters!!
Some negative points to the book: Somewhere around the middle of the book, the pace slowed way down for me, to the point I had to set it aside and read another book. I am not sure what it was, as the story was still moving forward, the relationship was still growing. Sometimes it is difficult for to pinpoint exactly what it is I am not enjoying about a book. So perhaps it was me and my mood??
Some other notes: Kalyko reviewed this book a few days ago and pointed out that the back blurb is not entirely accurate. I just wanted to say I agree with her. Weird that they said that, perhaps the person who wrote the blurb only read a chapter or two of the book??
Anyways, I am looking forward to the next in this series!
My Rating: 3-3.5

Hey Tammy!
I can see this series going on for awhile; I think that once Rhyannon hits her stride she'll be untstoppable! Definitely eagerly awaiting the arrival of Last Wolf Hunting!

Thanks both of you for
Thanks both of you for pointing out the blurb issue. I really wonder whether the blurb writers read the books. I have noticed several issues. Even when they are correct, sometimes they give away too much (esp. with mysteries) or they seem to miss the whole point or main themes of a book. Jessica Hart's blurb was fun and accurate and yet it bugged me because it missed a key ingredient that might have sold this book to people because of that key ingredient.

Tammy, I have a question for you....
Just how can I go about adding book images to the "What You Are Reading" box. I couldn't find any place to add them... HELP!

Hey Kalyko and Merri!
Hey Kalyko!!
I can see it going far as well. There are a lot of different angles Byrd can take it. Lots and lots to explore!! I am definitely looking forward to Jeremy's story as well; he was so full of humor as a side character in this book.
Hey Merri!
You are very welcome! There was one time I read a book and realized that the blurb gave away something that happens in the last chapter. I couldn't believe it! It was a mystery, too. Other times, they make the blurb so dramatic... so when you are reading the book you keep waiting for something to happen, and then it never does. Ah, well....I love my books anyhow, blurb flaws and all!
Hey Kalyko!
I am going to copy and paste Christa's response in my posting pics blog. She answered the same question to Lynn for me, and says it quite well.

Tammy help me with displaying my pictures too. If you are interestest in displaying covers under "what I'm reading" this is how I(we) do it: I went to my profile page and clicked edit, then went to "personal information". Way down near the bottom there is a box that says "book browse widget" in here I copied and pasted the the HTLM code from photobucket. I added <center> to the beginning and </center> at the end of the codes for the three books. I also added <br>after first title<br>, first code<br>, next title<br>, next code<br>, next title. So mine likes like this <center>title<br>code<br>title<br>code<br>title<br>code</center>
P.S- if you feel lazy or don't wat pictures centered leave out <center></center> code and pictures will stay on left

I hope that helps!! If you have any trouble, let me know, and I am sure I will be able to help!
