Linnea Sinclair, Gabriel's Ghost. I really liked her previous book, Finders Keepers, which is a space opera romance which says science fiction on the spine. This one is a smidge more traditional romance in characterization and plot than Finders Keepers: we still have the Tough Comanding Woman as heroine, but this time the hero is more from the Alpha Male family, genus Rake, species Secret Angst/Superpower. I sort of like the sidekick, species Misunderstood Alien, but the hero and heroine weren't as interesting to me. I think I was looking for something more science-fictiony than I got. Oh, well, you can't please every reader every time!
