Looking for a book

I am looking for a book, I can't remember the name but it was published around the time of Where there's a Will by Day LeClaire, it was about a woman who lived at home with many siblings that she was required to take care of and while at a rest stop she encounters the hero was has been mugged. She binds he's wounds with her shirt and bra and gets him to the hospital and it goes from there. I just can't remember the name I would appreciate any help you could give me.
