Lady Reyna Graham snuck behind enemy lines in a desparate plot to save her people. Disguised as a courtesan, she sneeks into the tent of Ian of Guilford in order to carry out her plan. Little did she know that Ian of Guilford, mercenary and in charge of the siege army, was on to her plans almost immediately and captured her and tied her to his bedpost as he informs her that he did indeed earn the title of Lord of a Thousand Nights. When she escapes, he and his men follow her back through the secret passage of her castle and take it over. Ian of Guilford takes charge and proceeds to begin to rebuild the village and seduce Lady Reyna. Through many attacks, both directly and indirectly, Ian and Reyna forge a bond that will last through many more than a thousand nights.
I liked this book although I felt that the Lord of a Thousand Nights was not developed as well as could have been. Both Ian and Reyna had terrible childhoods which drew them together. In the end though, a fabulous treasure of the Templars is uncovered and brings the book to a satisfactory conclusion. I give this book a B+.
