Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward

Butch O'Neal is a fighter by nature. A hard-living ex-homicide cop, he's the only human ever to be allowed in the inner circle of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. And he wants to go even deeper into the vampire world--to engage in the turf war with the lessers. He's got nothing to lose. His heart belongs to a female vampire, an aristocratic beauty who's way of his league. If he can't have Marissa, then at least he can fight side by side with the Brothers....

Fate curses him with the very thing he wants. When Butch sacrifices himself to save a civilian vampire from the slayers, he falls prey to the darkest force in the war. Left for dead, he's found by a miracle, and the Brotherhood calls on Marissa to bring him back. But even her love may not be enough to save him.

Review:

It did not take me long to read this one and I absolutely loved it.  I was a little surprised that Butch was a descendent of Wrath.  I am glad that Butch and Marissa cleared up the misunderstanding that they had in the beginning of the book. For a minute I didn't think they were going to make it especially when she didn't understand that he needed to fight next to his brothers and about his transition. For Butch the Brotherhood is his family because they accept him unlike his human family and I was glad that he opened up to her about his past. Even though Z is my favorite, Butch is up there with the rest of them.

The books that interested me most were Zsadist's, then

Butch's and after that Vishous'

I found Butch and Wrath particularly interesting given their history from book 1, and also given that Butch doesn't have the automatic deference thing that the others have for Wrath. It's made for some interesting scenes

Of course I just want more Brothers, I'm interested in the Primale aspect of Phury's book though Phury has never really been one of my favourites

I'm really interested in reading JM's and Blay's books, and by the time it gets here I'll probably be equally interested in Qhuinn's

Lassiter doesn't do anything for me (he hasn't turned up in the books yet, but he's featured on the site)
