A Loving Scoundrel by Johanna Lindsey (Atria Books)

This is another Malory novel. A little girl wakes up in an alley in the slums of London next to her nanny who dies. Danny's memory is gone and a street urchin finds her and takes her back to her gang. Danny grows up as a boy to keep her from having to prostitute herself and instead she becomes a thief. Her life changes when Jeremy Malory kidnaps her to do a little job for him. Their lives become intertwined from then on especially when Danny gets kicked out of her gang because of the stunt Jeremy pulled.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this book. I just couldn't put the book down. It was so much fun visiting old time London and attending a ball. The characters were delightful and endearing. Of course, I've loved Johanna's books since I was a teenager and I've been following the Malory's for years. This is a must read.
