I felt in the mood for a very funny read and as I’ve had this book in my Soon TBR pile for a long time, decided it would fit the bill… and it did! Just in time for me to go shopping, with the gift card from one of the families for whom I babysit, and to find Lynsay’s latest ~ Vincent’s story… WaHoo!
BOOK READ:
Lynsay Sands; Love Bites; LoveSpell; January 2004
The Argeneau Family series
SYNOPSIS:
This is Etienne Argeneau’s story. Etienne is the third of Marguerite’s sons, he’s 300 years old and he’s the creator of the wildly popular series of Blood Lust games. He’s also got a stalker who’s determined to kill him ~ and unfortunately this stalker knows that the Argeneau family members are all vampires. Not good!
Rachel Garrett works in the morgue in a busy Toronto hospital and for three years she’s been working the night shift. She sees all different kinds of bodies, but this latest one has got her motor revving ~ must be because she’s sick! That would explain the hallucinations that her db is now sitting up and talking to her.
And so begins the story of the latest of the Argeneau’s life mate ~ the gamer and the coroner… a match made in hea… uh, somewhere.
MY NOTES:
I adore Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau family stories. Not only has she come up with a unique creation fable, but her vampires live in Toronto, Ontario … how cool is that? (says the Canadian blogger). I also love the out-and-out humour with which she imbues her stories. But underlying all the laughter there is a serious element and Lynsay Sands works it in very well. Etienne is really funny while trying to explain the changes that Rachel has gone through, and just what is what… for such an intelligent man, he’s quite verbally inept ~ or maybe it’s just with Rachel.
RATING:
Excellent ~ 4 stars {definitely a keeper and a re-read ~ author is an autobuy}
Sensual + ~ {moderately explicit sex; no forbidden words}

When you see someone post, for example me

I hope that helps!!

other titles
I just read your posts. Could you tell me the other titles in this series? It sounds great and I love to read about vampires and werewolves ect. Any other great reads that you've read. Thanks shannon
Hi Shannon...
So far there are seven books in the series ~ the 7th was just released and I'll get to it soon... especially since I'm all caught up. The books so far are:
I don't know what the order they're supposed to go in, but this is the order, pretty much, that I read them.
As for other interesting books... weelllll ~ last year there were a number of us that got really into the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward. If you haven't read those books yet, I highly, highly recommend them.
They're also vampire books, but they're much darker than Lynsay Sands' stories, but they are amazing!
Before I read my first BDB book ~ a year ago last fall ~ I was really not into vampires, but the book that I read, which was actually the third in the series Lover Awakened just ... well, by the time I'd read three pages I basically couldn't put the book down. And as soon as I could I went out to the bookstore and bought the first two. There are five out right now, with a sixth due this June ~ and I can hardly wait.
Of course, if you've read the books, then I just blathered on and on.. but, yeah, I do kinda do that.

A lot of us tend to do that when we talk about the Brothers Kathy, so at least you won't be lonely in that situation
What do you think of the blog?

So far, pretty good... just like anything else having to get used to doing something in a different way and I can be a little slow to do so sometimes... but overall, once I fall into the groove, I think this is going to be easier.
How 'bout you?
