I picked this short ebook up from ellorascave because I wanted to sample Rhyannon Byrd's work. This is the first in a two book series. I also purchased the other which is much longer and I expect will give me a better sample. I'm interested in her "Blood Runners" series and wanted to see if I liked her writing. I read several other reviews and so now it looks like I'll be picking them up also. What ever happened to by New Year's resolution to cut back on the purchase of new books until I put a bigger dent in the TBR shelves? Oh well! In this book Lachlan McKendrick's uncles have put a curse on him. When he is satisfied during sex with any woman who is not his bith-bhuan gra (soul mate) then the woman temporarily turns into an animal. This has not been a pleasant experience for Lach. He has been burning for Evan Hayes ever since he met her, but he can't have her because he's never been with a mortal. A mortal couldn't be his soul mate or could she?
Pretty good for a short book. I'm looking forward to the sequel which is about Lachlan's cousin Kieran who we meet in this book.
