This is a period book. Set in midevil times. Rowan is a prince raised in england sent to rule a country that he has never seen. When his father is on his death bed he and his sister must go to their new home to rule. The king sets up a marraige that will help his son win his people over. However Rowan falls in love with Jura and wins her hand in a contest or vice versa. He must then set out to unite his country into one with the help of a few faithfull men and women.
This is a delightful book although it ends to quickly and you feel like you need to know more.
