Needless to say I picked up this title because I myself am looking for
A Man of Many Talents. And that's the only reason I didn't
stick it back on the shelf after reading the teasers and discovering
that this is a regency. If you've been with me for a little while,
you'll know these are the one's that'll trip me up.
Much to my pleasant surprise, Deborah wrote this as if she were telling a
story and not trying to impress an uptight literary professor.
Oh sure, I had to hit the dictionary a few times, since I'm lacking
in a proper on-paper education. But it was nothing disruptive
to my keeping up with the story.
Wrapped in a bit of a mystery, the twists and turns were interesting. Though, it
did have a bit of a Big Girl's Scooby Doo feel to it.
The primary and secondary characters had believable personalities for the
time and the plot. And what's even more important—the hero and
heroine's conflicts and tensions were plausible.
I certainly don't regret the time I spent with A Man of Many
Talents, and neither would you.
Synopsis: A Man of Many Talents
Abigail Parkinson, after a life of lack and hardship, inherits Sibel Hall.
Unfortunately with the manor came a few distant and unusual relatives
she's never met. The inheritance didn't include enough money to run
the manor, so Abigail places it for sale. Once sold the proceeds will
allow for her to live the only dream she has left. To set up her own
little cottage where she can live independently and not have to
return to a position as a paid companion
Unfortunately for Abigail the Century 18 and RegalMax listing agents
don't have the same the fortitude as today's Realtor and were scared
away by sightings of an apparition. So, “Who you gonna call?”
That's right. Call on a member of society, specifically a viscount
with a reputation for ghostbusting.
Christian Reade had spent his days frolicking like many of the privileged
class, when through an unexpected situation he was able to debunk a
haunting Though it was really was nothing, he found himself
inundated with requests for his assistance to route spirits from
other locations. Including a request from Miss Parkinson of Sibel
Hall. Christian had declined all other invitations except for this
one, thanks to the prodding of his grandfather.

Love is a conscious choice we make,
not the feelings that cause us to tingle and shake.
Romance begins as a state of mind,
and is expressed in the efforts to care and be kind.
