The Marine’s Baby by Rogenna Brewer (Superromance March 2008 1478)

In just a few months, Caitlin Calhoun went from a wife to a widow to a mother-to-be. All she'd wanted to honor her dead husband by having his baby. But that's not what she got. Thanks to an unfortunate mix-up, her child's father is her husband's half-brother Lucky. So how does she break the news that he's about to become a father?

This was a really interesting book, well-written and thought provoking. The family relationships were really interesting. There is no way that a parent should give two different children the same name. I never thought about how it would make a child feel replaced. I wanted to cry for him (Lucky) as a child, but he became an amazing hero. This is a keeper.

RE THE MARINE'S BABY by Rogenna Brewer

I finished this about a month ago, and I've got to say that it was fantastically written!  The Brewer Duo has written a good book.  It has two of my favourite elements in it: Marines and Babies.  Hits on the Air Force, too.  Though I was USMC and not USAF, it's still okay.  To create the story plot (the sperm mix-up, the boys having the same name, etc.) is a little "out there", once the story line was set, it was quite well.  Lucky, in my eyes, is a true American Marine, for though at times his heart may have not been in it, he knew (and did) the right thing by Cait.

I did love this. The cover got me the instant I saw the uniform. I love the military hero because of the strength and honor that they usually have in these novels. Totally awesome book.

RE: THE MARINE'S BABY by Rogenna Brewer

It really IS a  fantastic read!  I admit I'm a "softy" for the "Dad's" theme that runs through a lot of Harlequins and Imprints.  In the same Post in which "The Marine's Baby" arrived in, so did "Single-Dad Sheriff."  I haven't read Single-Dad Sheriff yet, but of course, I will review it here on the Blogs once I do. I loved this one

I loved this one, well actually I've loved all her books. Wish she could write more though. They're few and far between. Glad you enjoyed it Vikki

Also a softy...

I'm also a softy for the parenting theme.  Gotta love a man who's willing to step up to the plate and be responsible!
