Marriage in Jeopardy by Miranda Lee (HP 1728)

Juliana Preston has been married to Blake Preston for a bit under a year - but she must have been just sleepwalking because she's just realizing that she's in love with him and what's more she's been in love with him all along,  her love previously hidden in a "platonic coated shell."  It's taken Blake's plane going missing to get to this point, however, and it isn't exactly a welcome realization, as Juliana and Blake have a marriage of convenience one might say, where emotions have no part.

Blake is quickly found, his pilot just having to have made an emergency landing somewhere, but upon his return Juliana is petrified of somehow giving herself away - they don't even touch normally and apparently Blake nods at her when he plans to join her in bed to make love!  Juliana has previously been almost cold in bed, but her newfound love awakens her passionate side (her mother had been easy, causing Juliana to develop a few inhibitions) - so Blake leaps to the conclusion that she's been having an affair while he was away!  Will these two ever get their acts together to realize how good they could have it?

This book tells Juliana and Blake's story primarily in flashback - they first met when she was 9 and her mother got a new job as his family's cook.  They became very closer, at least until Blake went away to university and kept bringing back all sorts of girlfriends... I really enjoy this story, primarily because of Juliana and Blake - it's clear that they care about each other and each hurts when they hurt the other. Blake, as a hero (April's mini-challenge theme), is a bit off from what I'd like, given his past promiscuity, but no one's perfect, although it does seem Blake is for Juliana.
