Book summary - Badrang the Tyrant has his eyes set on ruling over his own empire and will do anything to make sure that his ultimate fantasy is fulfilled. Little does he realize that the quiet, nameless mouse he is holding captive will one day grow to be the legendary Martin the Warrior.
Martin is the key character in this series. The books aren't written in chronological order, which drives me a bit nuts as they leap back and forth in time. Mossflower, the second book in this series, is when Martin gets his legendary sword. This book, which is the sixth book, actually takes place before Mossflower. Why? Who knows. Evidently Martin is also present when the Redwall Abbey is built, but I'm not sure if that story is ever told in this series.
