With the Material Witness in the Safehouse(May08)

A small town with sinister secrets...

Blurb:

Protecting a beautiful amnesiac in a mysterious small town led an undercover agent to a world of secrets, and that was just the beginning…

FBI agent Ryan Burton spent his days investigating every sinister secret in the fog-shrouded village of Raven’s Cliff…his nights he spent protecting a beautiful material witness with no memory. At one time Ryan had been her defender and her lover, but Britta Jakobsen had no recollection of either. Now, as a curse that enshrouded the seaside town began taking its toll on the locals, Britta became the focus of a madman’s attention.

For Ryan, safeguarding Britta brought back the past---and the passion--they’d once shared. This time, though, their reunion was no match for the unpredictable danger that hovered just outside the safe house door…

My thoughts:

This was a very enjoyable and riveting read. The creepiness of this series started almost right away and continued on with all kinds of stranger mysteries at every corner of this book. I love reading suspense books that take place in strange small towns with a curse hanging over it and this curse is very creepy. There are several mysteries going on during this book three surrounding the h , why she disappeared, who took her and the murder she witnessed. I did have my feelings about one character that came to be true but not what I was thinking. This is a very great way to get this series started and it ended in a way that really had my mind wondering. I cannot wait to get to the next book in this series I have the feeling this one will be fun!

A place inside my brain
Another kind of pain
You don't know the chances
I'm so blind!
Blind...
Blind...
