Book summary - All his life, the worst thing young Mattimeo had to fear was a stern lecture from his father Matthias, but all that changes when Slagar the Cruel visits Mossflower Woods with plans to kidnap Mattimeo in a bid to shake the very foundations of the Abbey and its inhabitants.
This is the third book of the Redwall series. This one is about Matthias' son, Mattimeo who is kidnapped and forced into slavery. Many of the young Redwall creatures are also kidnapped and journey along side Mattimeo as he struggles to escape and reunite them all with their families.
I enjoyed this story as much as the first two, although I admit it's gets a bit old when many of the other creatures they encounter on their journey seems to have some god complex and want to kill and conquer everything and everyone. Of course they met helpful creatures as well, but I suppose as I'm a bit older than the target audience I find the 'death to all' creatures a bit predictable.
