Memo: Marry Me

 Marry Me?

Book Thirty-Seven:  “Memo: Marry Me,” Jennie Adams, Harlequin Romance, May, 2007, #3953, eBook, Adobe Format

"Memo: Marry Me,” is my fourth Jennie Adams romance. I liked it the best of the four (just a hair ahead of “Parents of Convenience” which is also excellent).

The heroine in “Memo: Marry Me” owns a temporary secretary agency. One of her workers fails on an assignment and the angry client insists that the heroine finish the contract herself.   The client is an important businessman who could damage the reputation of the heroine’s new firm. She agrees to take the assignment but plans on getting a replacement as soon as the hero calms down.

Memo: Marry Me,” takes place in Sydney, Australia but the story’s scope expands to other areas of Australia. The reader enjoys travel with the characters and some nice dinners in classy night spots with views of the famous Opera house in Sydney. The plot has a lot happing and the page-by-page reading enjoyment level is very high.  I like being entertained when I read and “Memo: Marry Me,” is always rewarding the reader with interesting sights, plot developments, unexpected twists, and characters you’d like to be your friends.

I particularly liked the cast of characters in “Memo: Marry Me,”  Lily, the heroine and Zach, the hero are fresh faces in different life situations than I expected.  The heroine’s parents are unlovable and difficult. The hero’s home situation is also unusual for a romance.  “Memo: Marry Me,” is a very fast read.

The hero. Zach is powerful, rich, successful, intelligent, decisive, fair-dealing, honest, appreciative and vulnerable.  While the hero is a sound healthy man, he does need the right woman to complete his life.  The heroine is a truly worthy person. She is very strong and courageous. There is no doubt that this hero would fall in love with this heroine.
