This is the first of a series set at Mercy Hospital in Las Vegas.
Gabe's company is building the addition to the hospital so that is why be brings his pregnant teenage runaway sister to Mercy. Gabe lost his fiance and unborn child in a car accident a couple of years before and has gone into emotional hiding. Rebecca was dumped by her fiance and was sexually assaulted some years earlier so she has some series issues regarding trust. They both have to do some changing before they get their happy ever after. Gabe has to reconnect with his father and sister and Rebecca learns that she must talk about what happened to her.
Hopefully he next book will be as good.
