Sofie has good reason to have run out on her marriage just after the honeymoon, and to have kept the birth of her son Tom secret from her husband. When he finds them by chance five years later, he wants his son, and he wants revenge on the wife he still desires.
I found this an enjoyable read, the suspense element subtly woven through the story was handled well, and the hero's French grandmother is a delight!
The only issue that I couldn't help wondering about was why Sofie didn't tell Lucas the reason she left straight away when they met again. She seemed to take all the guilt for leaving onto herself, but I can't imagine in those circumstances I wouldn't furiously fling my reason for leaving straight at him when he started in at me about running away.
Because we all deserve a happy ending!
