From the back: Clay Bennett is a powerful DarkRiver sntinel, but he grew up in the slums with is human mother, never knowing his changeling father. As a young boy without bonds of Pack, he tried to stifle his animal nature. He failed. . . and committed the most extreme act of violence, killing a man, and lost his best friend, Talin, in the bloody aftermath. Everything good in him died the day he was told that she, too was dead.
Talin McKade barely survived a childhood drenched in bloodshed and terror. Now a new nightmare stalks her, the street children she works to protect are disappearing and turning up dead. Determined to keep them safe, she unlocks the darkest secret in her heart and returns to ask the help of the strongest man she knows. . .
Clay lost Talin once. He will not let her go again and hungers to posses her with a clawing need born of the leopard within. As they race to save the innocent, Clay and Talin must face the violent truths of their past. . .or lose everything that ever mattered.
I Loved this book. I think it is at the top, with book one, for me. Talin and Clay loved each other and were best friends as children. But when Clay had to protect her when he was just 14 years old, everything changed. Then he was told that she was dead. When he sees a woman who reminds him of his childhood friend, and even smells like her, he must meet her. When he discovers Talin is alive, nothing will take her from him again. Talin and Clay work together to save innocent human children who are disappearing. These are Talins "babies" and she will do anything to find them. I enjoyed meeting many new interesting characters and finding out some new na interesting facts about the Psy.

Yes, I really loved this one. I also enjoy her Desire books and they are very different from these. I wish she would write some Nocturnes or start some paranormals for this publishing company so I could purchase them with my discount. I really love this series.
Margie :)
Another one I have to
Another one I have to read but I need to read the one before this first. I agree she should write Nocturne's.

On the subject of Nalini Singh and her great talent....
I posted on a message board where I was discussing category romance and authors that publish in different genres. "Oh, and Nalini. The girls and I (from eHarlequin) would really love to see what you could turn out for Nocturne. Nudge nudge, hint hint. " This from a previous conversation I had with a few bloggers last year after reading Carressed by Ice.
Her reply "And Jill LOL on the nudging and hinting - but I think my changelings would miss me"
It doesn't look like she has a Nocturne in her future. Though I can't complain cause I do love her changelings. But perhaps now the seed has been planted?
A girl has got to try. Sigh......
Hi Margie,
I have this one waiting "impatiently" in my tbr. After reading your review, it's even more impatient.
Hi Jill, Interesting bit of information, I'm really glad you shared that conversation with us...exciting. Now, like you said, the germ has been planted. I'd love to see Nalini write for Nocturne.

Jeannie, I wouldn't want any writing to take away from her Psy/Changeling books. Hopefully, she'll find time to still do those and give us a couple of Nocturne books too.
Kathy, I did really enjoy this one. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it. There are some interesting things happening that I am looking forward to reading more about. I also enjoyed the teaser for the next book. It sounds so good.
Margie :)
