Mistress in a Bind

Spice Brief“Mistress in a Bind”, Jenesi Ash, 39 pages Copyright 2008, Adobe format  This does not count as a Book Review at this posting.

This is book 4 in the Mistress Diaries Series

I’m not the best person to review this particular Spice Brief.  The theme involves exploiting rich men by using one’s feminine power while at the same time always being on the lookout to move up to a richer patron. Now, the men are no great shakes either, so maybe these characters happily deserve each other.

I think the fantasy here is to see what it would be like to be a powerful mistress. The story is serious in the sense that while the heroine glories in her power over men she also reminds herself that in another sense she has no power. Even the best mistress must always be looking for the next client should the current one tire of her.

Unlike the last Spice Brief I reviewed, (“Letting Go” -- which used the erotic action to reinforce the love the couple has for each other), love really has nothing to do with “Mistress in a Bind”.  But then, in all fairness, love is not part of this particular fantasy.

“Mistress in a Bind”. while short, features a mystery which the feisty heroine solves herself within 24 hours.  This heroine is an extremely capable individual.  The story includes a slight bondage episode plus a manage a trios. (MMF)  As such “Mistress in a Bind”. truly is spicy and always interesting. It is also very well written.

If you like the theme, the story is excellent.
